What are the financial guidelines to qualify?
Many factors are taken into consideration when your application is evaluated, such as total income, number of household members, assistance programs, age of pet, etc.,
How much does it cost?
ROMP will subsidize 50% - 100% of the cost of surgery, based upon financial guidelines. Our veterinarians offer a generous discount for SPOT program clients but costs vary among the participating veterinarians.
Are the vaccinations included in the program?
No, vaccinations required prior to surgery are not included in SPOT.
How old should my dog and/or cat be when I get him/her sterilized?
Cats and dogs can begin to reproduce when they are 4 - 6 months old. Please spay your female pet before she has even one litter and neuter your male pet before he has a chance to get out and impregnate unspayed females.
Once I submit a SPOT application, how long should I wait to hear if I qualify?
You will receive information within 1 week of submitting the application. If you do not hear from us after 1 week, please call (432) 363-4738.
